How long does it take for a spider plant to get big?

It's a baby right now.

Not very long. I started out with a rootling about 2 years ago, and the thing is now over 3 feet across. They will grow as large as the pot will allow, so be prepared. I had one once that I finally gave away to a friend with a big back yard because it had outgrown it's wine barrel planter!!
Reply:All depends on the growing conditions. In a greenhouse they will start with a small plant and within 4 months have something that nearly fills an 8 inch pot. Granted you don't have a greenhouse with ideal conditions, but the brighter the light, proper temps including dropping the night temp 10 degrees (very important) and proper water and nutrients, you'll have a big plant in no time. Above is right, they will fill a pot and actually prefer to have cozy toes so they send out more baby spiders.
