What type of leaf is a spider plant classified as?what's it missing?

Spider plants (Chlorophytum) have typical monocot leaves with parallel veins. The leaves form a rosette and have leaf sheaths. They don't have petioles (stalk that attaches leaf blade to stem) or hairs, like many dicot leaves you might be familiar with.

Reply:leaves are basal, linear, hooded acute. They lack a peduncle.
