How long should i let a spider plant plantlette root in water before planting in soil?

You don't need to put the plantlet in the water. Just place it on a pot with compost while it is still attached to the mother plant. To keep it in place put a small stone on the stalk that's attached to it. When you see new leaves coming out then you can cut the stalk.

Keep it in a shady place.

thses things grow lkike crazy plant in soil when the roots are taking over the water
Reply:You can tranplant spider plant babies straight from the plant. You don't need to put them in water at all.
Reply:When the roots start to grow 1to3in long put it in dirt they will start in dirt they did not need water to start.
Reply:Actually, you can plant it directly into soil, it will already have a tiny root underneath, if not, just wait a while until it is slightly bigger.
Reply:First make sure the roots are pretty thick in the water. Then,

Try this: leave it in the water you are rooting it in, but take out about half the water, adding some nice, clean soil. And add a little more soil every day, taking out a little more water. This way the plant is not thrown out of the enviroment it already is used to and pushed into something new and strange. Keep doing this adding soil and lessening the water until you have mostly soil in it.
Reply:When the roots reach about an inch or so
Reply:When the roots are long enough to be set in soil. About 1-2 inches.
