There are little worms and spider like bugs crawling around in the soil of our indoor banana plant (probably because there was a layer of dead Allysium for ages!) We put it outside (for about 20 minutes now, it is 45 degrees outside) in hopes of killing the bugs, will this work?
Bugs in soil of banana plant!?
No, and you could almost kill your tropical banana if you don't be careful putting it outside. I would look into transplanting your banana, as well as considering using a topical insecticide.
Reply:try to transplant it into new soil, and rinse all the old dirt off ans much as you can, the use one teaspoon of dish liquid to one gallon fo water, spary the plant and moist the soil
