How do spider mites get on indoor plants? and what's the best way to get rid of them?

I'm not sure how they get on your plants, but I found the best way to get them off is to cover your plant with soapy water. Take all your infected plants outside (water safe surface) or in the bathtub if it's still too cold to have your plants out. Mix up a sink full of soapy dish water and then pour the water over all the parts of the plant. If temperatures permit, leave them outside over night. You may need to repeat the process in a few days to get them all. I used this method because we have many pets and using chemical solutions can be potentially unhealthy for them.

they get in on your clothes, and on the breeze, too.. there are several methods of removal, the easiest and cheapest, is to give them a hard spray of water, every day for a week.. they have a three day life cycle and this will keep 2 generations from getting a foothold on your vegetation.. the next best step after the water would be neem oil(applied as per the instructions)
Reply:i have found the best thing is a spray bottle with soap and water.. and get the plant away from the other plants or you will have them all infecte.. spider mites are nasty and hard to get rid of good luck.. i personally would throw the plant out..
Reply:I've had them, threw the plants out, the best way, and quarantine new plants.
